Best Cattle Breeds for the Southern U.S.

What are the best cattle breeds for the conditions found in the Southern U.S.? I prefer Brafords for a number of reasons. Most importantly, they represent the ultimate in heterosis and hybrid vigor, which allows them to adapt to almost any environment. They are particularly  well suited for life in the South because they bridge the gap between breeds adapted to a moderate environment and the subtropical breeds. This allows Brafords to thrive throughout the year in the Southern U.S. What do you think?
